These terms cover your use of MetaScape at metascape.world, operated by Dexter Price in South Carolina, United States. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it. Questions go through the contact page.

The service

MetaScape is a shared online world. It is under active development and provided "as is", without any promise that it will always be available, error-free or unchanged. Features, regions, businesses and balances may be added, changed or removed.

Your account

You can use MetaScape without registering. Homes, signatures and other things you create are tied to a key kept in your browser and to any sign-in you connect. You are responsible for what happens under your key. If you lose it and have no linked sign-in, we may be unable to restore your items.

How to behave

• Be respectful. No harassment, threats, hate, or sexual content involving minors.
• No impersonation, spam, scams, or attempts to disrupt, probe, overload or break the service or other people's use of it.
• Only upload, send or say things you have the right to share, and nothing illegal.
• Do not use another person's photo to build a likeness without their permission.

We may remove content, or limit or end access, when these rules are broken or to protect the service or others.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you create. You give us permission to store, display and deliver it as needed to run MetaScape, for example showing your wall signature or delivering a mailbox message.

Businesses and AI

Storefronts in the Market belong to the businesses that list them; prices and products are theirs, and any purchase is between you and that business. AI shopkeepers and reps are automated and can be wrong. Treat what they say as information, not professional advice.

In-world items

Land, homes and in-world balances are features of the MetaScape world. Unless we say otherwise in writing, they are not securities, financial products or guaranteed to hold any real-world value.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, MetaScape and its operator are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, and our total liability is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the past 12 months or fifty US dollars. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept it. The date at the top shows the latest version. See also our Privacy Policy.
